Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog! My name’s Elisa, and I’m glad you’re here. I’m a Marketing/Communications professional living in San Diego, California, with a background in Event Management and Design. Currently I’m a full-ime job seeker. I’m 30 years old and married to my wonderful husband of two years.
I started this blog almost two years ago for the simple joy of writing and the shared blogging experience. Not much has changed, except that I find myself increasingly drawn to posts about cooking. As you can see, about 75% of my blog posts nowadays center on food – growing it, making it, and enjoying it – and that’s okay with me. I began cooking with my grandmother as soon as I could reach the kitchen table, and I have fond memories of my grandfathers’ gardens. I am excited to share a little of my love of good food with you.
Most of the recipe posts here are experimental; that is, I make something that I think is yummy and I post what I do. It’s how some of the best things I make over and over again came to be. It’s also a little risky, since I haven’t perfected my recipes, testing them over and over. I will make corrections and additions from time to time, and I welcome your feedback!
I have a great camera – I really do. You can see some of the beautiful photos it’s taken on my photography site (linked on the right). Unfortunately you can’t always tell, since it does really poorly, overall, in low light. And my kitchen? Crappy low lighting. So I’m apologizing in advance for the lack of gorgeous pictures here.
I don’t pretend to be an expert gardener, but I have done a lot of research, and I’ve had three very successful gardens, and I have a ton of books. So if you have a gardening question (or any other question), please don’t hesitate to ask me. I love getting messages!
Thanks again for visiting – I hope you’ll stick around!
